Steve Simmons, The game designer is a retired educator having worked in a one-room school in the backwoods of Montana, USA; to teaching at a major state run University in Utah, USA. He began designing role play games for classroom use in a creative writing class he taught and for an after school latch-key club for middle school youth in Colorado, USA some 30 years ago. His professional training is in education, art, and history. For 30 years he participated in medieval re-enactments and has worn armor and fought with steel, rattan and foam weapons in different clubs. He is an active Christian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His son B.A. Simmons is an English Teacher in a urban Jr. High School In Utah. He now runs an after school gaming club that plays Planet Archipelago. He has a passion for birding and continues to write fictional stories about Planet Archipelago.
